Installing Latex on mac. Downlaod from MacTex it is around 2GB in size and comes with TexLive installed. For more details about what is installed check here. Then use an editor like Latexian or TexMaker.
Add cls file from major conferences such as IEEE to the source directory.
cd ~/Library/texmf/tex/generic/
Add IEEEtran.cls to this directory.
